Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was five, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire to attend The Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing dance, acting and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through her Oxford teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. It also was one of the top-rated films during 2001. Its opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. The film received praise from critics, as were the performance of three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma's performance was recognized and won five awards later in the film.
