MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album climbed to number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then joined Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the following year. Later in 2021, he performed as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar as well as piano and ukulele. Although he initially wanted to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his profession.
